For me, this is the best time of the year. The heat in Texas becomes a bearable thing, the grass actually gets a green hue to it, and the stream of holidays on the horizon are some of my favorites. It also happens to be pumpkin patch season, and that’s an incredibly awesome added bonus. Since I was a kid, I’ve appreciated everything that goes into a pumpkin patch. I love the decorations, trekking through the fields to pick a pumpkin, and all of the yummy things that go along with it.
This year’s pumpkin patch adventure led us to Fredericksburg! My little family unit appreciates everything that places has to offer. My dad has some German heritage and we all appreciate the cute little shops that have eclectic goodies and trinkets. We usually stick to the areas around us that are a little closer, but this year, we decided to adventure out to a “pick your own” pumpkin patch, and that was one of the best decisions we could have made.
Vogel Orchards is a little place that usually lets you pick their peaches directly off the tree, but during the fall season, they also have a pumpkin patch. This place is gorgeous and the fields run a good bit of distance in a straight line, so looking down them is quite the sight. Throw in getting to walk through the muddy vines and it was an absolute blast. My dad got himself a cute little green pumpkin and we got to pick out this cool little warty goblin.
In the pictures below, make sure you pay attention to the gorgeous area of the pumpkin patch. Don’t let the cuteness of my husband and father distract you from the beautiful natural place that is Vogel Orchards.
So, there you have it – another Brodica family adventure. Since the end of the season is quickly approaching, if you want to head to a patch, you should get to it! It’s a good time for the family and you get to have these gorgeous pumpkins to carve or make use of for great decorations.
On another note, we’re putting together our holiday mini sessions and need some feedback. Let us know if you guys would be interested in sessions at a tree park, or a nicely decorated studio type set up. Click the link here and let us know what you think!
If you’re interested in your own sessions, or just want to drop a line to say hello, click here and we’d love to hear from you!
Until the next time, friends! Keep adventuring…
