I’ve done a lot of photo sessions over the passed little while, but this one is probably my absolute favorite. Josh and I, since we started our relationship, have been nutty about Halloween. Usually, we put together an epic couples costume that is both unique and entirely homemade. I unfortunately did not get the opportunity to have the night off, so we didn’t get to carry that tradition this year. BUT! We did do something really cool in the spirit of Halloween.

One of the things I love the most about my husband is how weird he is. His weird fits mine in all the right ways, so we have a blast with each other. When I came up with this idea from a failed client inquiry, I knew he’d be on board with it immediately. He even went so far as to go to the thrift store and find the coolest collection of masks he could find. Instead of celebrating on the day like we usually do, we spent the next night figuring out the coolest way to highlight the masks he purchased.

As you go through these, you’ll see just how unique we got with everything. Josh is a natural in front of the camera in all the right ways. His imagination is unlimited and he’s not afraid to look like a total GOOB in front of the camera. He grins, he makes faces, he gets on his butt, hell – he’ll strip off his shirt and make things as rustic as he possibly can.

Keep in mind, most of these pictures were shot in black and white, so that just adds to the cool/spooky mood of them. This was a blast to do, a blast to edit, and a blast to share – so I hope you guys enjoy them as much as I did!

Spooky things lie below….

There you have it! Josh is a champion and one of my favorite models to shoot. I know we’re inching towards Christmas, but I couldn’t not share these epic pictures. Besides, we’ve got some festive Christmas stuff up our sleeve, too – so stay tuned!
