UTSA MBB Post-Turkey Day Practice

For most people, Thanksgiving means lots of food and then lots of football. For us, Thanksgiving is right in the heart of basketball season, so we jump right back onto the court as soon as possible. As a player myself, I’ve always known that lifestyle and enjoy it immensely. Now, as an adult, I could go for a couple more days off to enjoy being lazy, but there are worse things in life.

Like most practices that I lug my camera to, this one was intense and a complete joy to watch. Coach Henson runs a practice that runs pretty smoothly and it so fun to be a spectator of. It’s fast paced and the guys are working hard the entire time. This one was no exception. Not only were they working hard, they were sweating out the previous days turkey pretty readily.

As we get into the actual season, I’m starting to see even more intensity from these guys. When you look through the pictures, you’ll see guys on the floor, you’ll see deep defensive stances, and the gleam of the prospect of scoring, scoring, scoring in most of their eyes. It’s an absolute blast to get to watch these guys progress, and it’s even more fun to see how it all plays out on the court.

The guys return to the Convocation Center this Saturday, December 1st, to play against their I35 rivals – Texas State! This one is always a good rivalry game and TXST brings something new to the court every time we play them. If you’re looking for some high class entertainment, you’re not going to want to miss it!
