UTSA v. SE Oklahoma

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a great holiday and are making plans for the next one coming up. My family goes a little heavy on the Christmas, so we keep our New Year pretty tame… and it’s fabulous.

Anyway… last night, UTSA took on Southeastern Oklahoma, and man – it was a total battle. Sometimes you watch games as a spectator and you’re overwhelmed by how well everything went for your team. On the other hand, you also watch games where you sit and scratch your head wondering what the heck is going on. Last night’s game was a lot like that latter spectator experience.

After coming back from the holiday, the guys worked pretty hard over the passed couple days of practice. These guys are always busting butt, but it seemed like they knew they’d just had a couple days off and needed to work just that much harder. When they showed up on the court last night, it was much of the same… until the shots didn’t fall for everyone. Except Jhivvan. Mr. Jackson… well, he knocked the dang ceiling off with the amount of beautiful shots that went into the basket. That seemed to keep them in the game when they needed it the most.

By the end, the Runners brought it home and took the win for the night. A couple of the key starters knocked down some shots in the last four minutes that were crucial, and kept the guys in the game. With some spectacular free throw shooting, the Runners kept ahold of the win! As a sports fan, it’s nice to see different games when you watch your team… even games where you’re sitting on the edge of your seat the whole time.

The hard fought battle looks really cool in the images below, so pay special attention to that. These guys are warriors and you can tell by the sweat and intensity you can see on their faces.

There you have it! Not every win can be pretty and it’s nice to see the guys bring home a well fought battle. If you didn’t make it… don’t worry! The guys are back in the convo next Thursday, January 3rd. They’re taking on UTEP for not only the first game of the new year, but their first game of the conference season, too!

Lastly, we’re currently running a little giveaway, so if you like this post by the end of the day Sunday, December 30th, you’ll be entered to win a free photo session!

Until the next time, friends! Keep adventuring…
