Hi everyone! We here at Boshnasty Photos hope that you have had the greatest holiday season so far. This is one of my favorite times of the year! I love my family. Admittedly, I’m a home body and will always be. Being a military brat, the only thing you had consistently throughout the moves were the people around you. Despite having to learn to fit in every new place, my family was something I could be myself around and as an adult, it’s something I cherish. My parents have been my oldest friends for a long time and the addition of Josh to the family unit has made it perfect. This year might not have been the greatest one, but it was filled with time spent with my favorite people – and I’m forever grateful.
In a nutshell, 2018 was a year filled with learning. As Josh and I’s business has been developing, we’ve been rolling with the punches. There are so many things we know and have in place, yet it seems like there are so many things we don’t know, too! This is the first time since we started this that I’ve felt confident in what I’ve learned and how I can apply it to our sessions and photographs. I just so happened to have also earned my masters degree in Kinesiology – so the learning really went deep!
I think the thing I really need to reflect about the most this year, though, is my relationship with the other half of this pairing. As we move through our marriage, Josh and I are constantly learning how to live with each other. We’ve been together long enough to know the other person pretty well – which is the greatest and worst thing all at once. This year, we’ve spent a lot of time trying to better ourselves for each other, and I think we’re slowly but surely learning how to do that. I think it’s important to keep that in the forefront of my mind, because it applies to all the partnerships in our lives, not just our marriage. Running a business together is hard, and it’s harder when your business partner is also the person you spend your time at home with, too. This year, we learned how to give and receive criticism, and how to work together in the most cohesive way. We hope that shows in the progression of our work as you go through these pictures.
To celebrate the year coming to an end, we decided to reflect on our work and progress by sharing the best of 2018! These pictures cover trips to California, Florida, Alabama, and Costa Rica! There are action shots, portraits, team photos, weddings, and family photos in this collection of pictures. I’ve realized that most photographers try to specialize, but I love the huge range of subjects I get to experience through my photography. I hope in 2019, I add even more areas to the next collection. I can’t wait to see what the new year brings, but it has been so fun to go back through 2018 and relive some of the memories that mean the most!
So, here you have it! Enjoy 2018 through the eyes of Boshnasty Photos. We hope you enjoy our adventures and join us for new ones to be featured in the next year!
Wow! We hope you guys enjoy going through those pictures as much as we did. This year was a whirlwind of things, but it was spent with great people, traveling around the world, and enjoying what life has to offer. As I walk into 2019, the resolution I’ve set for myself is to live more in the moment and enjoy everything as it comes. Here’s hoping a clear view and an open mind will help with that.
Josh and I want to take a second to wish everyone a Happy New Year! We can’t wait to see what 2019 brings our way and hope that you guys are a part of it. I’m stoked to meet new clients and to work with people who have been supporting us from the beginning. Here’s to happiness and love, excitement and knowledge, and utter fulfillment in the year to come! Enjoy your time with family and friends as this old year comes to a close and the new year unfolds itself before us. Here’s to 2019!
