Carrie & Sammi Jo – The Best of Friends!

Happiest of Tuesday’s, everyone! Josh and I are getting ready to head across the country and take in all that Pennsylvania has to offer. I’ve been craving a cheesesteak since I booked this wedding and am so excited it’s finally coming to fruition. This is the first time Josh gets to head that way – so it should be an exciting time! If you’re from that area or know someone who is, drop food/entertainment suggestions in the comment box.

Today’s blog is all about two marvelous ladies who have a great friendship. I met Sammi Jo back in my undergrad days and remember being immediately drawn to her personality. She’s very funny and has some of the best taste in music. So, I knew her best buddy would be one of the cool ones, too. I was not disappointed when I met these two at Flower Vault – which has to be one of my favorite locations to shoot in the area.

As we toured this beautiful venue, I got to know more about Carrie and her friendship with Sammi Jo. When you go through these, you’ll see their Longhorn orange outfits. They met because of the guys in burnt orange, so it was only appropriate to pay homage to their favorite team. This entire session was a total blast and I’m so grateful to know more about each of these ladies and the cool friendship they share.

Pay special attention to how much these two smile. You can tell we had a great time throughout the shoot because the grins are so big and there’s visible laughter in both their faces. We made the most out of a really versatile backdrop, so I hope you enjoy!

There you have it! Sammi Jo and Carrie, you two are a blast and I’m happy to know you. If anyone is looking for some cool photos in a beautiful place, I’ll gladly follow you around Flower Vault and make pictures greatness!

I’ve had a bunch of people book their fall sessions already, and I’m so pleased! These sessions are so quick and easy and you end up with lots of great candid photos. We’re currently offering 30 minute sessions with all the best edits for $140. We’ve got a backdrop that would be beautiful to work with, but we’re also open to heading to a location of your choice. I want y’all to make the most of this cool fall opportunity! Use the contact form at the bottom of this post to save your spot.

On that note, we’re also going to start booking our Christmas Card sessions. These are our normal hour session price, but are fully styled and are quick to be turned around! My Josh is dressing up as the Grinch to go with our beautifully decorated backdrop – so don’t wait to book! With basketball season quickly creeping up, my schedule is going to be very full very quickly.

If you book a Fall/Christmas session before 9/30 – we’ll give you 10% off!

As usual, I’m so very thankful for each and every person who contributes to our little business. I’m so far from where I started and I only have you guys to thank. Whether you book a session or just tag along for these blog posts – we’re grateful for you and your support. Here’s to health and happiness!

Until the next time, friends! Keep on adventuring…

The Thompson’s – A Family Adventure!

Happiest of Thursday’s, everyone! I’ve been riddled with a headache all week that has put me on my butt – but I’m slowly starting to feel a little better. Just in time, too – I’ve got a jam packed weekend full of beautiful couple portraits and a UTSA Soccer game!

Today’s blog post is all about my friends, The Thompson’s! You’ve seen one of their gorgeous children on here a couple times before. Georgia is a good friend of my niece’s and I’ve had the pleasure of photographing her a few times. When we got together with the rest of the family, I understood where Georgia got her bright, beautiful personality! This family is full of uniqueness and talent. Some of these photos are taken in front of an exquisitely white grand piano that half the household plays.

Not only is this family extremely fun to be around, they also have a deep history within the city of Auburn. Patrick works in the Auburn Arboretum – and the place is so pretty. He does a great job keeping the place looking amazing and knew all the best spots for some of these photos. As we walked around, he told us about all the different foliage and it was the coolest way to spend a session.

All-in-all, these photos were some of my favorites to shoot. As you go through these, enjoy all of the differences that make this family beautiful. I love getting to know families and this was one of the best!

There you have it! Thompson’s, you guys are fabulous. I hope to work with you again in the future. I love family sessions, so if you’re in the market for getting some done – let’s have an adventure!

I’ve had a bunch of people book their fall sessions already, and I’m so pleased! These sessions are so quick and easy and you end up with lots of great candid photos. On that note, we’re also going to start booking our Christmas Card sessions. These are our normal hour session price, but are fully styled and are quick to be turned around! We’ve got a great backdrop with a gorgeous tree and all the Christmas trimmings. I’d like to start shooting these at the end of October/early November – so don’t wait to book! With basketball season quickly creeping up, my schedule is going to be very full very quickly.

If you book a Fall/Christmas session before 9/30 – we’ll give you 10% off!

Sam & Scott – A Prattville Adventure!

Happy Wednesday, everyone! I just celebrated my birthday, so this week seems like it’s flying by. It doesn’t hurt that it’s game week and UTSA is taking on Army in the Dome. I’m pretty excited to work the sideline and grab some game shots. If you’re going to be there, send me a message! I can’t wait to share some Roadrunner excellence!

Today’s blog post is all about my handsome nephew and his soon-to-be wife! Sam and Scott are an adorable couple and have a lot of fun together. You’ve probably seen these two on the blog before, so you know the chemistry that they have. Every time we get to walk around and see who they are together, I learn something new. This time, we got a little historical background of Prattville.

Heading back to Alabama to see my family is always a blast, especially because I’ve got such photogenic nieces and nephews. They always take us to really excellent spots, too. We got to explore downtown Prattville, which has a ton of different types of foliage and even some water. As we walked around, it was cool to hear about their experiences in the area and how the community has grown and changed since my family lived in that town all that time ago. We even got to check out a haunted cotton gin – what’s better than that?

As you go through these, I hope you enjoy how in tune Sam and Scott are with each other. You can see how well they get along in the pictures and I think that’s one of the best bits of photographing a couple. Here they are – I hope you enjoy!

There you have it! Sam and Scott, I love getting to shoot with you guys. I can’t wait to celebrate your big day, but until then – we’ll practice as many times as we can. I’m so very excited to see my girl Sam as a bride!

We’re currently booking our fall mini sessions and I’m pretty excited about them. A week or two ago, I had one of my favorite little ladies come out and model our backdrop and it’s gorgeous! These mini sessions are $140 and 30 minutes. You will receive all the best edits from our session. Our minis are quick, full of fun, and capture the best memories. If you’re interested in a shorter session for a good price, we’ll be booking these mini sessions from now until 11/1. From that point, I’ll be completely focused on Christmas sessions and basketball season – so don’t wait to book!

On that note, I am quickly running out of weekdays/weekends that are free for sessions. If you’d like to secure a spot before the new year, please reach out soon! I can’t wait to work with all you lovely people and would hate to have to turn people away. You can book a session in December now, just to make sure you get a spot on our schedule! To sweeten the deal, we’re offering 10% off our fall minis and Christmas card sessions. Use the contact form below to grab a spot before I close booking for the year!

Lastly, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone keeping up with us. This is my dream and it’s slowly coming to life because of all the great people that read the blog, book a session, or simply click on our photos on social media. This couldn’t be done without you guys, and I’m so pleased to have such amazing people in my life! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Until the next time, friends! Keep on adventuring…

Kyndall & The Historic Pearl!

Happiest of Saturday’s, guys! Today is a big day in the Modica household. Not only is it a three day weekend, it’s the start of UTSA Football! I’m so very excited to get back into the action shot game. It all started with the Women’s Soccer game last night – which was a whole lot of fun and a great start to this jam packed weekend.

Today’s subject on the blog is Kyndall! This chick is someone I’ve known since my undergrad years. I used to be a student athletic trainer for UTSA’s Track and Field team. I spent two years helping these athletes compete to the best of their ability. In my time with everyone, Kyndall was one of those people that was so very interesting to get to know. Her injury history was rich, so she spent lots of time with us in the training room and on the table out at Park West. In all that time, you end up getting to know someone.

When I approached her to do some photos, she was immediately on board. & when we met at The Pearl, it was like it hadn’t been a few years since we’d last seen each other. As an adult, it’s cool to see how earlier connections play out later in life. Despite our time being warm and shrouded with humidity, it was so much fun. We laughed, talked about our lives, and got the best of pictures. Kyndall, you’re a total gem, my friend.

As you go through these, pay special attention to Kyndall’s shirt. She had a whole selection of them, but the one she decided on is one of the coolest shirts I’ve ever seen. You can see the fun we had throughout these, so I hope you enjoy!

There you have it! Both the location and the person were completely perfect during this shoot. Photography gives me the ability to hangout and connect with people on a different level & I’m forever grateful!

Since it’s Labor Day weekend, we’re keeping our $50 off deal until 9/2! We’re getting very booked up and very busy with with UTSA goodness. If you’re wanting to plan a family session, grabbing your slot now would be the best decision – you can take advantage of the discount and make sure you get a date.

I’ve also decided to do my fall minis a little differently. Instead of having a couple dates to book, I’ll be taking any date through November 1. These mini sessions are $140, 45 minutes and all edited images (this usually falls between 30-50, depending on how quickly we’re able to move through the session.) I think this will be more fun for everyone and allow for multiple locations in the San Antonio area with their specific kiss of fall. If you decide to book with us before 8/31, we’ll add an extra $10 off. That means a $140 becomes $80!

Lastly, we’re finally opening up our new sports photography packages. I spoke to multiple youth sports league coaches and got some insider information on what packages like this should consist of. So – these team action photography packages are new and improved, focusing on game play photos and portraits! If you’re interested in booking us for your season or some games within the season, shoot us a message! I can’t wait to work with all the different athletes throughout the year.

Thanks for following along! This wouldn’t be real for us without all the people viewing and booking our services. It means the world to be able to do this sort of job for amazing people!

Until the next time, friends! Keep on adventuring…

The Art of Eliza Parker

Happy Tuesday, everyone! My Monday was filled with doctor’s appointments, frustration, and some editing. While the rest of the day wasn’t the greatest, getting to go through each of these gorgeous beauties made it all better. Here’s hoping your day was excellent, and if it wasn’t, there was a light at the end of your tunnel!

Today’s blog post is all about Eliza Parker. If you’ve been around for a while, you’ve seen this name before – because she’s one of the coolest people and one of my favorite people to be around/shoot. The chick is stunning without even trying, and talented beyond all belief. She can tutor, she can make your social media look amazing, and she can PAINT! Which is what you’re about to see.

When I got the idea to showcase my art with other art, I knew Eliza was the only person that could make this vision what I wanted it to be. She jumped up at the chance, which I’m so insanely grateful for. So, after a quick trip to our favorite craft store, we were ready to produce some art.

For the rest of our time together during this session, we listened to music, talked about life, and created these gorgeous beauties. Now, the finished piece of this little adventure hangs on our wall – which I’m so very grateful for. It’s so cool to see someone else’s vision of what we would like and who we are. Eliza, you’re a vision, my dude. These pictures are only going to show half of the amazingness that was produced that day.

As you go through these, enjoy the evolution of her painting. There are photos from the very beginning, all the way through the very end of her process. I wanted to highlight what it was like to go through the enter vision, not just a finished product. Here’s hoping we hit that nail right on the head!

There you have it! Eliza, you’re a true talent and I’m so very excited to have caught your spirit. These are some of my favorites to date – so thank you for that! If you’re an artist and want someone to invade your creative space for a while as you work, I’m your girl! Let’s do some art together and make some magic.

I’m currently looking for a model(s) for Friday morning! If you’re interested in filling the spot, fill out of the contact form below. This 90 minute session will come with some free photos and lots of fun!

To round out the summer, we’re putting on some sunset minis at Cibolo Nature Center! August 1st, 8th, & 15th we’ll be out in Boerne for two mini session times. You can book either 6:30 or 7:15 so we can catch that gorgeous honey golden light. If you’re interested in sessions that are lower in price and faster than the norm, these are where it’s at!

We’re also still offering 15% off all our couple/engagement/wedding packages! Until the end of the summer, you and your forever person can get photos for a reduced price. We’ve been loving all the gorgeous summer sunlight, so don’t wait around – it’s the best time of the year for those sunset adventures!

Lastly, we’re now booking into October/November/December – which means I’m putting together my holiday session lists. Throughout the next couple of months, I’ll be shooting several different minis, on location Halloween & Christmas styled sessions, and lots of family portraits! The spots I have available are slowly starting to fill up – so as an incentive to book early, we’re offering 15% off all of these sessions as well. I can’t wait to see the magic we can make!

As always, thank you for tagging along! If you want to know about these different sessions, subscribe to the blog to get an email notification right when the information becomes available. The Boshnasty Photos family is slowly growing and we’re stoked to see what the fall brings our way!

Until the next time, friends! Keep on adventuring…

The Nicola’s – An In-Home Session

Happy Wednesday, everyone! I’m so very stoked about this week. We’re currently spending some quality time with my sister and niece, and the 4th of July is quickly approaching. It’s cool to see how everyone decides to celebrate our country & the cool freedoms we’re allowed. We usually BBQ, grab some sparklers, and enjoy the sweet outdoor activities (cornhole is kind of my game!)

Today’s blog post is all about The Nicola’s! If you’ve been following for a while, you’ve seen this name a couple times before. Aundrea & Angelo are a sweet couple that we love getting to see. Documenting their life is just another cool little perk. This time, we were lucky enough to spend some time with their gorgeous puppy, too! As a family, The Nicola’s are so organized, put together, and seem to have the most fun. It doesn’t hurt that Maggie is one of the cutest puppers I’ve ever seen.

When I found out they were moving into what they consider their forever home, I knew I needed to help document the transition. In-home sessions are all the rage right now, too – so that was an added plus. There is so much of both Aundrea & Angelo throughout the house. Their decor is tasteful and radiates their commitment to each other and their faith. It was a blast to get to know these two a little better through the intricacies of their home.

As you go through these, pay special attention to the color coordination. I’m so impressed by the continuity of beauty throughout their home. Guys, thank you for letting us invade your space and take photos of you in your natural habitat.

There you have it! Aundrea & Angelo, you guys are beautiful as always. Your home is spectacular and I can’t wait to see what you guys create with that amazing space!

To celebrate 4th of July, we’re offering 35% off ALL of our sessions. This will run through July 5th, so we hope to hear from you soon! These summer adventures have been my favorite & I can’t wait to see where you guys take us next!

As always, thank you so very much for your support! We couldn’t keep doing what we’re doing without you guys. We’re so very grateful for the adventures we get to take!

Until the next time, friends! Keep on adventuring…

& Happy Fourth of July!

Kalista & The Historic Pearl

Happy Monday, everyone! One of the best holidays is coming up – which means my sister and niece are in town. They come every year and we have a great time celebrating our freedom and the cool bond of our family. The summer is by far the greatest when it comes to spending time with people you don’t normally get to see & I’m so happy for that!

Today’s blog post is all about my beautiful pal, Kalista. She is a UTSA cheerleader I met through my athletics gig. She was new to the Roadrunner gang, but took it by storm nonetheless. We spent a rainy morning navigating our way around The Pearl – which is beautiful, even with a grey cloudy sky illuminating it. There are so many great photo taking places and the scenery is diverse & rich, which makes for even better final products!

The hour we spent navigating one of San Antonio’s main landmarks was an absolute blast. Kalista has a great personality and loves to smile a gorgeous smile. When she stood in front of the camera, there was no hesitation. It’s so cool to see confidence like that in someone so young! To say it helped the pictures is an understatement – these are chalk full of confidence and self-love!

As you take a look at these, enjoy not only The Pearl’s highlights, but also the way this chick can work the camera! A lot of fun was had and I think it translates directly into the tone of this adventure.

Enjoy some of my favorites!

There you have it! Kalista, thanks for being so easy to shoot & fun to be around. That combination makes my job the absolute best. If you’re ever in town & would like to explore The Pearl with little ole’ me tagging along – let me know, we’ll make some magic!

We’re currently putting on 4th of July mini sessions. I’ll be shooting all the way until 12PM on July 4th, so there’s lots of time to celebrate the holiday! This one is one my favorites, so we put together a cool little backdrop. I’ve added a contact form to the bottom of this post for easy booking!

I also wanted to let everyone know that our fall is getting pretty busy. I’m currently booking through December & will have limited dates once basketball season starts. We’re offering 25% off pre-booked sessions for the fall until the end of July! This is a good deal, so take advantage! I’m so stoked to get to work with everyone & can’t wait to meet all you future clients.

Until the next time, friends! Keep on adventuring…

Vivian – Class of 2019!

Happy Friday, everyone! We are looking at the beginning of the weekend & it’s a very nice feeling. For the passed couple of years, I’ve taken Friday’s off – & I spend most of those off days shooting, editing, or sleeping. Today is going to be a good combination of both. I cannot wait to spend the weekend doing the things I love with the people I love the most.

Today’s blog post is all about my good buddy Vivian. Okay – so, I’ll let you in on something… up until walking to the Convo, we hadn’t met Vivian before. However, she was in the same program as me at the same time… just a year behind. By the time I was done taking classes in class, Vivian was just starting. We ended up missing each other by a few months, but fate brought us together anyway. Well, fate and another good friend, Nancy.

Vivian is a vibrant chica with lots of spirit & the same thirst for knowledge all of the people I hold dear have. We took the same classes, had the same professors… heck, we even seemed to like the same classes the best. Our tour around campus was easy and most importantly – fun! We hit all the good spots without any interruptions. It’s weird to say this, but getting graduation pictures done after walking is probably one of the best times to do it. So – if you’re looking to do some last minute shots, you know where to find me!

Ms. Vivian, thank you for trusting us with this celebration of success! These are some of my favorites & I’m so very stoked to have gotten to do them for you. Here’s hoping we bump into each other academically, or professionally in the future!

There you have it! Vivian, we wish you all the success in the world – there is a lot more knowledge out there to seek, so never stop. I’ll be right there with you!

We’ve recently started offering a new type of senior session. For all Class of 2020 Seniors, we’re now offering two part sessions. We’ll take some senior portraits now, then come back & shoot again when caps & gowns start making their way out. That way, everyone gets to celebrate to the fullest! Contact us below to find out more about this program!

Until June 21st, our regular senior sessions will be $75! That means all high school & college grads that didn’t get the pictures they wanted before they walked can still grab a good deal! I love academics & this achievement is big, so I’m stoked to offer these sessions at the price they are!

LASTLY – our summer celebration is still going on! Grab 20% off all sessions, including our wedding/engagement packages. We’ll keep this one around for a little bit longer, so don’t miss out! It’s a gorgeous time of the year for family photos…

Thank you, as always, for coming here and reading about our business adventures! Without you guys, none of this would be possible. We appreciate you!

Until the next time, friends! Keep on adventuring…

Sam & Scott – An Engagement Session!

Hey everyone! Today is one of those Monday’s that I can’t help but be excited about. I got to get back into tutoring – which is one of my favorite things in my life. Imparting the knowledge I’ve gained in my studies to other people is an amazing feeling. I also worked on these beauties most of the afternoon – and there ain’t a thing wrong with that!

If you’ve been here for a while, you’ve seen the subjects of today’s blog post. Scott is my sweet nephew who has grown into a cool young adult. Between him and his gorgeous¬†fianc√© Sam, these two have too much cool between them. Over the years the two have been together, Josh & I have captured them together on multiple different occasions. They look good together and have a natural kind of chemistry that’s so, so, so fun to shoot!

Today’s post is all about their engagement shoot. That’s right, I said engagement shoot! These two are getting hitched and I’m lucky enough to get to capture it all on my pretty Canon camera. Sam makes Scotty so happy & it’s going to be the greatest thing to capture their happiest day. I’m impatiently waiting to see what Sam is going to look like as a bride, and the smoothness of Scott’s fashion sense will balance it out perfectly. Not to mention that the gorgeous backdrop in these pictures is their wedding venue. These are beautiful, but I can’t even wait to see what the big day snaps are going to look like!

Sam & Scott, you two are beautiful together and we’re lucky to be in your lives to see and capture it. It’s cool to grab these memories not only for you two, but for the big families you’ll both be a part of.

Enjoy these golden hour engagement photos – they’re absolutely stunning!
