UTSA v UAB

Happiest of Thursday’s, everyone! It’s game day in The Modica household & that’s always a treat. After getting my week of schoolwork out of the way, I finally got to get behind the computer and play with some pictures. Here’s hoping your day was just as successful as mine ended up being!

Today’s gallery is UTSA’s home battle against UAB. In the past few years, I’ve gotten to see the fellas play against this team in the convo a bunch of times & every time – it’s a pretty epic adventure. This time around was no exception, either. This season in the convo has been pretty rowdy, which always makes watching the game from the sidelines that much more epic. The band is full of the best heckling and the student section is filled with so so so many people. It’s what college is about, really.

Despite the box score not being what we wanted it to be in the end, the fellas put their all out on the court. I think I type that every single time I talk about these guys, but it’s hard not to – it’s pretty apparent. No matter the score, these guys are always fun to watch – they always put on a show and keep the crowd in it until the very end.

As you go through these, get pumped for the first game of bonus play scheduled to start at 6PM CST! Don’t miss out on the last few match ups of the season, y’all. It’s going to come down to the finish.

There you have it! The fellas are about to hit the court, so make sure you tune in where you can. The guys come back home on Sunday at 2PM – be there!

We’re quickly heading into the warm weather and that comes with blue bonnets and gorgeous flowers! We’re already in the midst of planning our bluebonnet sessions and want to make sure everyone has access to them. So – here we are. All of our bluebonnet sessions are $95, yet packed full of beauty, fun, and lots of excitement. The location we like has so great access to light – & we’re so excited.

We’re also trying to get ahead of senior photos! If you’re a 2020 graduate and want to celebrate your accomplishment for a relatively good price – you’re in the right place! Until 3/17 we’re offering our senior sessions for $135! This is the cheapest these will be until literal days before graduates are set to walk – so don’t miss out!

Lastly, we’re so happy you guys are here. This is the most fun and enjoyment I’ve been able to get out of my adult life and it’s all because of the people that support us in this adventure. It’s amazing to get to do this day in and day out, so thank you for booking sessions, checking out our photos, and simply liking what we do.

Until the next time, friends! Keep on adventuring…

UTSA Men’s Basketball v. UTEP

Happiest of Thursday’s, everyone! Today is one of the only days I get to really relax and I’m taking advantage of that tenfold. It’s always a good day when I get to put together a basketball gallery, so I hope you’re enjoy your day just as much!

Today’s blog post is all about UTSA Men’s Basketball. They’re currently back in my home town of Norfolk, VA preparing to take on ODU – so it’s only appropriate to get a game day gallery put together. Conference play has been a bit of a whirlwind, but today’s gallery was an amazing win at home with a stadium filled with excited fans! There’s nothing like a win in The Convo, y’all – there’s nothing like it.

UTEP is a travel partner, so the week of this game the fellas headed up to El Paso and played The Miners at home, then turned around and took them on at The Convo later that same week. Every year, this game is a push to the finish. The guys work hard to bring home with W and this year wasn’t any different.

As you take a look through these, take in all of the athletic shots that were put up driving down the lane and all of the three-pointers with the opponents hands in their faces. One of the best bits of being on the sideline is getting to see just how tenaciously each of the guys is working.

There you have it! The fellas play tonight out in Norfolk, but you can follow along. Tip off is at 6PM CST, so don’t miss out! We’re slowly creeping up on the end of the season, so there won’t be too many opportunities left.

As Valentine’s Day looms closer, we’ve decided to offer some sessions on THE BIG DAY. Josh mentioned that couples get dressed up beautifully and kids have parties in school – so why not offer the opportunity to get some photos done while they’re dressed to impress. It’s a pretty good idea, so we’ll be offering mini sessions on 2/14 from 11-5. These are going to be loads of fun, fast (20 minutes), and a great way to kick off a great evening with the people you love. Fill out the comment card below to grab a time!

We’re also in the works of putting together some bluebonnet sessions. If you’re interested in these, or have a good place that you know has these beauties in surplus, let us know! Spring in San Antonio is one of the best times for photos, so we’re excited to start shooting in the gorgeous weather coming up.

Lastly, we want to thank each and every person reading this right now. We get to live our dream and it’s because people support us by reading the blog, scheduling sessions, and checking out our photos. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Until the next time, friends! Keep on adventuring…

UTSA MBB v Southern Mississippi

Happy Thursday, everyone! This week has been a little hectic, but I finally got some time today to really sit down and get some good photo work done. It feels pretty fantastic to get lost in the work & was completely what I needed. Hope you’re enjoying your day just as much!

Today’s blog post goes hand in hand with UTSA MBB’s game day tonight against North Texas. I like to get up previous conference home games when the fellas are off on the road, so that’s what we’ve got today. The game against Souther Miss was just as fun to edit as it was to shoot. The guys played so fantastically – & it shows in all of the images.

For being the second home conference game of the season, the crowd was pretty intense – & made the game play that much better. There are so many shots where you can see the crowds reaction and it’s just as exciting as the actual play in the shot. Besides getting to experience the atmosphere at each of the games, one of the best bits of the job is getting to see the game from a really excellent perspective.

As you go through these, enjoy the continued intensity that can be seen throughout the gallery of images. It’s dang cool to see the team play well and get to capture all of the good moments. Here’s hoping you enjoy, too!

There you have it! Tune in tonight to see these guys take on North Texas. It’s going to be a great game, so make sure you check back. If you’re interested in action shots like this, shoot us a message – sports season is my favorite season!

We’re currently making the most of San Antonio’s beautiful cool weather and enjoying all types of sessions. As Valentine’s Day creeps closer, we’re stoked to be offering a couple different discounted session types. These would be the perfect gift for your loved ones. What’s better than a moment in time captured through an image? Grab 15% off a full length session, or book an in-studio session for $95! Josh and I spent a bunch of time last night getting the studio set-up just right!

As always, thank you for supporting our small little love child. We’ve put so much time and effort into creating what we’re able to bring to the table for everyone and we’re able to do that because of the people that book sessions, look at our photos, or simply read our posts. Thank you, thank you!

Until the next time, friends! Keep on adventuring…

UTSA Men’s Basketball v Texas State!

Happy Thursday, everyone! It’s insane to think that we’re in a completely new year and decade. There were a lot of great things in the last ten years, but I’m so looking forward to the next ten! Here’s hoping the year ended in the best of ways and the new decade started with a bang.

UTSA Men’s Basketball starts their conference play today, so it was only appropriate to pump out one of the many games I’ve shot during the pre-season. I’ve had a great time following the team around, documenting all of the their play thus far and can’t wait to see where conference play takes them. As a photographer, it’s the greatest to get to work on my craft and enjoy all of the perks of being court side watching my very favorite game.

This year, the fellas headed down to Texas State to play the I-35 rivalry game that’s much awaited each season. When we walked into the arena, it seemed like there were more UTSA fans than anything else. In the end, the over abundant presence of all my fellow Roadrunners could be heard loud and proud.

As you go through these, enjoy the tenacity that each guy played with. As the game progressed, the guys built up their confidence and it’s plain to see not only how well they move the ball, but how much fun they’re having while doing it. These were a blast to shoot, so I hope you enjoy them just as much!

There you have it! The fellas take on Florida Atlantic at 6PM CST. Make sure you keep track of their progress and cheer on our Roadrunners!

To bring in the New Year, we’re skipping all the way to Valentine’s Day! Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve been scouting around to put together a gorgeous Kissing Booth backdrop. Which means we’re hosting Valentine’s Day mini sessions! These will be fast and quick and filled with Valentine’s goodness and lots of kisses. You can snag a spot now for only $75.

On that note, we’re looking for a couple models to come shoot with us to advertise our beautiful backdrop. If you’re interested in shooting with us, fill in the contact form below and grab the spots while you can! We’ll give you a couple of shots in exchange for your time.

Lastly, all of our full length sessions are 20% off! We’re celebrating our entry into the 20’s and can’t wait to work with you guys throughout the year and into the next ten years!

We’re so stoked to be able to continue this business into the next decade and couldn’t do it without you guys! We’re so insanely grateful for the support of each and every person that books a session, looks at our posts, or simply glances at one of our pictures. It’s the greatest gift we could possibly ask for. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Until the next time, friends! Keep on adventuring…

Pre-season UTSA MBB

Happy Tuesday, everyone! My weekend was jam packed with lots of UTSA Athletic excellence, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I got to shoot my most favorite sport, too – and I’m so excited to share it with you guys!

Today’s blog post is all about UTSA MBB. We are so close to the start of the season, I can literally feel it. In my house, basketball season means long nights, lots of photos taken, and a husband that’s gone for most of the week every other week. It’s a crazy time, but there’s something about it that’s magical, too. I appreciate the sport so much and it’s cool to have my toe in it in whatever way that I can.

Saturday morning, the team had a couple recruits in, so they collected to go through a little bit of practice and then scrimmage at the end. These are the best kinds of practices for me as a photographer – I get some good portrait like shots, then spend the rest of the time wandering around the sideline trying to find the best angle for all of the greatness that’s happening on the court. With so many different guys on the court, its been a blast to capture each of them in their own specific element.

As you go through these, I hope you enjoy how healthy and in-shape all of these guys look. We’re about 50 days away from our first game and these dudes have been busting butt. You can tell in this gallery that they’re starting to really jive with each other and get their court feet under them. I’m so ready for this season – so if you’re anything like me, here are some images to tide you over!

*Fellas – if you’d like these, shoot me a message! I’ll get you an original copy instead of a screenshot.

There you have it! We’re so close and these fellas are working hard for it. I’m stoked for the season to start. Until then, come out and support all the other UTSA sports. There’s a rumor going that Park West this weekend is turning into Jurassic Park – so don’t miss out!

I’ve had a bunch of people book their fall sessions already, and I’m so pleased! These sessions are so quick and easy and you end up with lots of great candid photos. We’re currently offering 30 minute sessions with all the best edits for $140. We’ve got a backdrop that would be beautiful to work with, but we’re also open to heading to a location of your choice. I want y’all to make the most of this cool fall opportunity! Use the contact form at the bottom of this post to save your spot.

On that note, we’re also going to start booking our Christmas Card sessions. These are our normal hour session price, but are fully styled and are quick to be turned around! We’ve got a great backdrop with a gorgeous tree and all the Christmas trimmings. I’d like to start shooting these at the end of October/early November – so don’t wait to book! With basketball season quickly creeping up, my schedule is going to be very full very quickly.

If you book a Fall/Christmas session before 9/30 – we’ll give you 10% off!

As usual, I’m so very thankful for each and every person who contributes to our little business. I’m so far from where I started and I only have you guys to thank. Whether you book a session or just tag along for these blog posts – we’re grateful for you and your support. Here’s to health and happiness!

Until the next time, friends! Keep on adventuring…

UTSA Women’s Soccer v USF

Happy Friday, everyone! We’re finally right at the cusp of the weekend and it’s going to be a great one here at the Modica household. UTSA is back in the dome taking on Army! How exciting is that? As a military brat, it’s going to be so excellent to see the structure and function of something I’ve always known. Hopefully we’ll see you there!

Today’s blog post is all about our Women’s Soccer team. These ladies are very fun to watch and even more fun to shoot. There’s a tenacity that you can’t quite understand unless you’re standing right there watching – and in this case, I get to shoot and document it, too. Getting to be right in the action is my absolute favorite and I’m so stoked there’s still a bunch of season left to be played.

The game shots you’re about to see are very intense. Their match against USF was one that had all these ladies moving from one side of the field to the other without much time in between. The day was so hot and the sun was so bright – I still have a tan line on my arm from it! As the game unfolded, it was cool to see how each of these ladies stepped up and put their game faces on.

As you look through them, I hope you enjoy the tenacity and excitement these chicks have for the game – despite the heat. Hopefully you’re convinced enough to join us this evening at Park West to see them take on Oral Roberts!

There you have it! Ladies, I’m always impressed by your game play. Thanks for being so intense and still looking good in these photos. If you’re interested, Park West is hosting a match this evening. Head out and support our Runners!

If you’ve been around, you know that we’re booking our fall mini sessions. From now until 11/1, we’re scheduling these gorgeous little sessions. At $140, these sessions are 30 minutes long and you’ll all the best photos in a digital gallery. These are so quick and allow for families with little ones or fur babies to get in and out without an issue or impatience. Personally, these are my absolute favorite sessions and I can’t wait for San Antonio to actually look like it’s fall.

Tomorrow, I’ll be posting what our set up looks like for these mini sessions. I’m excited for everyone to see how we embrace fall here at Boshnasty Photos. Of course, you’re welcome to have your own location in mind when you book – we’re flexible and want to give you guys what you want from your session.

On that note, I am quickly running out of weekdays/weekends that are free for sessions. If you’d like to secure a spot before the new year, please reach out soon! I can’t wait to work with all you lovely people and would hate to have to turn people away. You can book a session in December now, just to make sure you get a spot on our schedule! To sweeten the deal, we’re offering 10% off our fall minis and Christmas card sessions. Use the contact form below to grab a spot before I close booking for the year!

Lastly, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone keeping up with us. This is my dream and it’s slowly coming to life because of all the great people that read the blog, book a session, or simply click on our photos on social media. This couldn’t be done without you guys, and I’m so pleased to have such amazing people in my life! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Until the next time, friends! Keep on adventuring…

UTSA Athletics – Fiesta!

Happy Thursday, everyone! I love the weeks I get to make multiple blog posts. It means I’m keeping busy and producing the art I love making. I’m so grateful to continuously have photos to edit and clients to shoot. Thank you for the support and adventures – it’s some of the best stuff in my life!

Today’s blog post is all about UTSA Athletics and the cool stuff they put on for their donors. Last week, UTSA’s event had sole occupancy at Fiesta Texas! If you’re from here, or you’ve been in the city for a while –  you know how awesome Six Flags is. So, getting to go without the crowds was an absolute blast! There’s nothing like riding a roller coaster over and over again without waiting in line.

To celebrate the successful athletic year, UTSA gathered some of the big wigs for a night of fun. The evening started with the athletes escorting the guests into the venue, then yummy food, followed by unlimited rides on Goliath. If you’re not familiar, that’s the big yellow and blue coaster you can see from the highway – and one of my favorites!

All and all, this event was a great way to bond with the community, learn more about our next steps, and enjoy some of the San Antonio culture. Fiesta, the holiday and the amusement park, is San Antonio excellence, so it was fun to take part in UTSA’s version!

While you’re going through these pictures, enjoy the scenery, and the enjoyment everyone has on their faces. It’s cool to be a part of something bigger than yourself – and it’s even better when that happens to be Division I college athletics!
