Allie Mag – A Senior Photo Adventure!

Happiest of Monday’s, friends! It seems like the busier I am, the quicker the days go – especially the weekend. With the end of basketball season coming up, it’s a little bit insane in our household. Despite that, though – I’m enjoying every single second of the adventure and am hoping you are doing the same!

Today’s blog post is all about my good friend Allie. If you’ve been around for a while, you’ve seen Allie in lots of different forms. At Wonder Chamber, rocking a Coraline costume and most recently, as a college graduate! As someone who doesn’t have a high number of friends, it is absolutely insane to get to be a part of something so big!

One of the best parts of doing senior photos is getting to know the person I’m shooting. Since I already know a lot about Allie, we spent the time talking about her experience at UTSA, instead. I’ve been here a long time, especially as a student, but it never fails to amaze me – how different every single person’s experience on campus truly is. If you’re graduating here soon, make sure you take senior photos! It’s one thing to walk the stage, but something totally different to do your victory tour around campus and capturing every single second of it.

Miss Allie, thank you for being not only beautiful but insanely rare. There is something about the person you are that is so fun to be around and so interesting to get to experience. You’re filled with good ideas and have the kindest, most caring soul. The world is not ready for the things you’re going to bring about, but I can’t wait to see what happens, anyway!

There you have it! This tour around campus was filled with beautiful sun, the best places at UTSA, and a great friend. I can’t wait to start the process all over again!

Speaking of the process – it’s almost that time of the year again! I already have a whole slue of senior photo sessions lined up for the next coming weeks & can’t wait to add you to it! One of the best bits of this photography gig is getting to spend time with people who are excitedly achieving something. Graduation photos are some of the best representation of that. With that in mind, I’m offering all of my senior sessions for $135 if you book before 3/17. My schedule for the spring/summer is quickly getting filled up, so don’t miss out on the special date that you want!

With Spring coming up, we’re also offering our bluebonnet mini sessions. These are tons of fun, filled with lots of laughter and gorgeous scenery, and pretty quick! These mini sessions can be booked for any date in March/April and will run for $85. I want to take advantage of the immense beauty that the upcoming season brings, so lets make some gorgeous springtime memories!

Last, but definitely not least, we want to thank you all! This business is nothing without the support of the people looking at our photos, booking sessions, and keeping up with our day-to-day activities. If it wasn’t for you guys, I wouldn’t get to do what I love the most for work! More than anything, we’re insanely grateful for the people that help us make this dream a reality – so thank you so very much!

Until the next time, friends! Keep on adventuring…

UTSA v UAB

Happiest of Thursday’s, everyone! It’s game day in The Modica household & that’s always a treat. After getting my week of schoolwork out of the way, I finally got to get behind the computer and play with some pictures. Here’s hoping your day was just as successful as mine ended up being!

Today’s gallery is UTSA’s home battle against UAB. In the past few years, I’ve gotten to see the fellas play against this team in the convo a bunch of times & every time – it’s a pretty epic adventure. This time around was no exception, either. This season in the convo has been pretty rowdy, which always makes watching the game from the sidelines that much more epic. The band is full of the best heckling and the student section is filled with so so so many people. It’s what college is about, really.

Despite the box score not being what we wanted it to be in the end, the fellas put their all out on the court. I think I type that every single time I talk about these guys, but it’s hard not to – it’s pretty apparent. No matter the score, these guys are always fun to watch – they always put on a show and keep the crowd in it until the very end.

As you go through these, get pumped for the first game of bonus play scheduled to start at 6PM CST! Don’t miss out on the last few match ups of the season, y’all. It’s going to come down to the finish.

There you have it! The fellas are about to hit the court, so make sure you tune in where you can. The guys come back home on Sunday at 2PM – be there!

We’re quickly heading into the warm weather and that comes with blue bonnets and gorgeous flowers! We’re already in the midst of planning our bluebonnet sessions and want to make sure everyone has access to them. So – here we are. All of our bluebonnet sessions are $95, yet packed full of beauty, fun, and lots of excitement. The location we like has so great access to light – & we’re so excited.

We’re also trying to get ahead of senior photos! If you’re a 2020 graduate and want to celebrate your accomplishment for a relatively good price – you’re in the right place! Until 3/17 we’re offering our senior sessions for $135! This is the cheapest these will be until literal days before graduates are set to walk – so don’t miss out!

Lastly, we’re so happy you guys are here. This is the most fun and enjoyment I’ve been able to get out of my adult life and it’s all because of the people that support us in this adventure. It’s amazing to get to do this day in and day out, so thank you for booking sessions, checking out our photos, and simply liking what we do.

Until the next time, friends! Keep on adventuring…

The Lahrman’s – A Family Adventure!

Happiest of Friday’s, everyone! All of the changes in the weather has my sinuses all out of whack, so I’m once again not feeling as well as I could – but it has given me lots of time to edit. Here’s hoping you guys are fairing a little better and the start of the weekend is looking promising!

Today’s blog post is all about our friends, The Lahrman’s. Their two gorgeous twin daughters have been on the blog before. We made some summer fun in front of these really stunning spray paint wall-art and had a blast in the process. This time around, we got to include the whole family on the fun. It’s quite a thing to shoot whole families after just dealing with the kids. You get to see where they get their personalities from and it’s always fun to see how families interact with one another.

We spent a gorgeous Sunday morning at The Pearl, navigating all of my most favorite spots. It was a little chilly, but the lighting for the day was the best it could have been. The whole experience was amazing – The Lahrman’s are a great family filled to the brim with personality and kindness that can’t really be replicated.

As you go through these I hope you enjoy just how gorgeous this family is together. Every single person has their own unique look, but there’s so much familiarity between them as well. Devon’s beautiful auburn hair and unique eyes give the girls such a different look – it’s absolutely stunning. I had a great time with these and hope you enjoy them just as much!

There you have it! Lahrman’s, you guys are the best. Thanks for trusting us with your beautiful family and letting us capture the essence of who you guys are together. If you’re looking for a session like this, use the contact form at the bottom to snag your spot!

Shelby Williams – A Gruene Adventure!

Happy Wednesday, everyone! It’s the first full week back in classes and I’ve been hustling to keep up with all of the new material. I love reading, but there’s going to be a ton of it this semester! Here’s hoping the start of your week has been well and you’re looking at a great end to it!

Today’s blog post is all about Miss Shelby Williams. I watched Shelby grow into a beautiful human that has so many dreams and goals throughout her college career. She’s a previous member of UTSA’s Volleyball team, so if you’re a die hard Runners’ fan, you’ve seen her in action before. Shelby is full of excitement and will to live, packed to the brim with intention and determination, and filled with so much beauty – it’s actually insane.

I’ve shot with Shelby once before and upon finishing that shoot, she brought up Gruene. Since that’s much more her scene, I decided the next time we shot, we’d absolutely shoot there. Not only did she fit in perfectly to the beautiful surroundings, she stood out in the most perfect way, as well. When she stepped out of her huge truck wearing a jacket with fringe and the coolest hat – I knew this session was going to be amazing.

& I was not a single bit disappointed. As you go through these, I hope you can enjoy how comfortable Shelby is in this environment. The candid nature of these posed photos makes them most excellent – & the addition of her awesome hat just makes these even better. I had a blast with these, & I hope you enjoy them just as much!

There you have it! Shelby, you’re a blast to shoot with and I’m so excited to try out all the new spots you showed me. I can’t wait to see the next spot we decide to shoot in and the adventure we have! If you’re looking for a shoot like this, send us a message – lets make some most excellent memories!

We’re currently booking our Valentine’s Day Studio Sessions – they’re fast and fun & our backdrop is very cute. These are going for $95 and have been a blast so far. I’m turning over all of my edits to you guys – so you’re getting a lot for your money. We’ve also discounted our full hour length sessions! Book with us now until 2/14 & grab 15% off ANY hour session. These discounted sessions make for great gifts! We’ve even created a voucher for those that have purchased these sessions for other people!

After taking a look at my calendar, it’s easily filling up much quicker than it did last year. I’m currently booking senior sessions, engagements, and family session all the way out in June already. If you’re looking to have some photos done and want to make sure your date is still available… book with us now! This year has been full of fun already & we can’t wait to see where the days take us. Use the code BOSHNASTY20 to refer a friend and both parties will receive 20% off their session.

As always, thank you so very much for the support! This is a dream and has been an absolute blast. We couldn’t have done anything close to this without you guys and all the different ways we’ve been supported over the passed couple of years. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Until the next time, friends! Keep on adventuring…

UTSA MBB v Southern Mississippi

Happy Thursday, everyone! This week has been a little hectic, but I finally got some time today to really sit down and get some good photo work done. It feels pretty fantastic to get lost in the work & was completely what I needed. Hope you’re enjoying your day just as much!

Today’s blog post goes hand in hand with UTSA MBB’s game day tonight against North Texas. I like to get up previous conference home games when the fellas are off on the road, so that’s what we’ve got today. The game against Souther Miss was just as fun to edit as it was to shoot. The guys played so fantastically – & it shows in all of the images.

For being the second home conference game of the season, the crowd was pretty intense – & made the game play that much better. There are so many shots where you can see the crowds reaction and it’s just as exciting as the actual play in the shot. Besides getting to experience the atmosphere at each of the games, one of the best bits of the job is getting to see the game from a really excellent perspective.

As you go through these, enjoy the continued intensity that can be seen throughout the gallery of images. It’s dang cool to see the team play well and get to capture all of the good moments. Here’s hoping you enjoy, too!

There you have it! Tune in tonight to see these guys take on North Texas. It’s going to be a great game, so make sure you check back. If you’re interested in action shots like this, shoot us a message – sports season is my favorite season!

We’re currently making the most of San Antonio’s beautiful cool weather and enjoying all types of sessions. As Valentine’s Day creeps closer, we’re stoked to be offering a couple different discounted session types. These would be the perfect gift for your loved ones. What’s better than a moment in time captured through an image? Grab 15% off a full length session, or book an in-studio session for $95! Josh and I spent a bunch of time last night getting the studio set-up just right!

As always, thank you for supporting our small little love child. We’ve put so much time and effort into creating what we’re able to bring to the table for everyone and we’re able to do that because of the people that book sessions, look at our photos, or simply read our posts. Thank you, thank you!

Until the next time, friends! Keep on adventuring…

UTSA v. LA Tech – A Conference Win!

Happiest of Wednesday’s, everyone! It’s a weird sort of week for The Modica’s – Josh is gone with the basketball team and I’m starting my tutoring workshop at the end of the week instead of the beginning like usual. This week the fellas will play Wednesday/Saturday, instead of Thursday/Saturday like their usual schedule. I’m excited to see what a double match-up against UTEP is going to look like.

Today’s post is all about UTSA’s first conference home game against Louisiana Tech. Heading into the game, the guys were two losses into conference and were looking to bring home a win – in all ways they could! We may not be the best road team, but with the school behind the fellas – we’re definitely a killer home team. As the season moves on, there’s a lot more people coming to each of the games and making the crowd presence so exciting. As an athlete, there’s nothing better than having people stand up and cheer for all the good stuff you’re bringing to the game.

This game was anything but boring. The fellas took up a pretty quick lead and kept their foot on the pedal. Both Jhivvan and Keaton put together a killer performance and were nicely rounded out by all of the big guys busting their butts on the court. Though they tried to come back, UTSA kept their foot on LA Tech’s throat and brought home the win.

As you go through these, enjoy all of the different ways points were scored and some of the good offensive movement that lead to great teamwork as well as a big W. It’s a blast standing on the sideline getting these photos & it’s so cool to see how the albums are going to turn out. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did taking and editing them!

There you have it! Check out the fella as the play tonight at 8PM CST! Then head over to the Convocation Center on Saturday to see them take on UTEP for the 2nd time of the season!

We’re also currently booking our Valentine’s Day sessions. For the young ones, we’re putting together a kissing booth that will make for a really gorgeous backdrop. For all the adults, we’re putting together short mini sessions at our favorite outdoor shooting location out in Boerne. These sessions would make for great gifts for your loved ones or for mom’s of little ones that want adorable photos of their littles!

We’re also introducing a referral program. If you’ve shot with us before and happen to know other people that need some photos done – refer us! If they book a session, you’ll get your next session for 50% off. Just tell them to use the code BOSHNASTY20! We love our return costumers and want to share the love with everyone!

As usual, we want to thank everyone for all of the support. Heading into a new year is always a little scary, but we’re surrounded by people that are so supportive and so willing to enjoy all of the work that we put out. Thank you, thank you, thank you! This is a dream and we’re so stoked to keep on living it.

Until the next time, friends! Keep on adventuring…

Miss Ashley – Class of 2019

Happy Saturday, guys! It’s one of my favorite days – GAME DAY! The fellas of UTSA Men’s Basketball are taking on Southern Miss and I can’t wait to get my camera out and shoot what I hope is going to be a great game. Basketball season is one of my favorite seasons and getting to shoot every Saturday is everything!

Today’s blog post is surprisingly not about basketball. In my time at UTSA, I’ve also gotten to work with lots of the different athletic’s teams – cheer being one of my favorites. I get to meet amazing people, too – like Miss Ashley. This girl is filled with so much potential, personality, and is gorgeous to boot. When she decided to book with me for senior photos, I knew we were going to do some great things.

This session was done in three parts. I got to meet all the kids in her classroom, her pup, and tour around UTSA’s campus. Each part of these sessions were special in their own way and Ashley rocked every single one of them. One of the best parts, though – each outfit worked amazingly and brought out a new piece of her personality.

As you go through these, enjoy all of the different pieces of Ashley you get to see. There’s some Dr. Seuss, tons of cute outfits, and a celebration of all things cheer. I had a great time with these and can’t wait to share them with you guys!

There you have it! Ashley, thank you so so much for trusting me with this big deal. It’s so cool to celebrate with all of my seniors. It’s such a big accomplishment, graduating from college – & I’m always so honored to be a part of it!

We’re also currently booking our Valentine’s Day sessions. For the young ones, we’re putting together a kissing booth that will make for a really gorgeous backdrop. Michael – Class of 2019!

Happy Tuesday, everyone! It has been a long one for me, so I’m so very stoked to wind down with my photos and spend time honing in on my craft. Here’s hoping you guys have been having a better day than me!

Today’s blog post is all about my good friend Michael. Not only is he a recent graduate, but he’s one of the smartest cookies I’ve ever met. He and I first met in my office, where we’re both tutors. I remember sitting in one of the cubbies listening to him go on and on about coding and computer stuff. I knew then that this guy was really good at what he was doing. Over the next little bit, tutoring kept us in touch – so when he approached me to do his senior photos, I knew it would be a total blast.

& I wasn’t disappointed a single bit. Michael is filled with personality, intelligence, and is destined to do some great things in his industry. Our time around campus was spent with me learning more about him, his dreams, and his time at UTSA. One of the best parts of this job is getting to know clients and capturing what that means in the photos.

As you go through these, I hope you enjoy his stellar outfit and the cool spots that we ended up grabbing throughout our tour of campus. I had a blast, & I hope you enjoy them as much as I did taking & editing them.

There you have it! Senior sessions are my absolute favorite in terms of getting to celebrate people’s huge accomplishments. Getting to shoot all the spots on campus that have made an impact on so many people is so amazing. If you’re about to graduate or want to get a leg up on your senior session, shoot us a message. We’re booking senior sessions all year round!

We’re also currently booking our Valentine’s Day sessions. For the young ones, we’re putting together a kissing booth that will make for a really gorgeous backdrop. For all the adults, we’re putting together short mini sessions at our favorite outdoor shooting location out in Boerne. UTSA Men’s Basketball v Texas State!

Happy Thursday, everyone! It’s insane to think that we’re in a completely new year and decade. There were a lot of great things in the last ten years, but I’m so looking forward to the next ten! Here’s hoping the year ended in the best of ways and the new decade started with a bang.

UTSA Men’s Basketball starts their conference play today, so it was only appropriate to pump out one of the many games I’ve shot during the pre-season. I’ve had a great time following the team around, documenting all of the their play thus far and can’t wait to see where conference play takes them. As a photographer, it’s the greatest to get to work on my craft and enjoy all of the perks of being court side watching my very favorite game.

This year, the fellas headed down to Texas State to play the I-35 rivalry game that’s much awaited each season. When we walked into the arena, it seemed like there were more UTSA fans than anything else. In the end, the over abundant presence of all my fellow Roadrunners could be heard loud and proud.

As you go through these, enjoy the tenacity that each guy played with. As the game progressed, the guys built up their confidence and it’s plain to see not only how well they move the ball, but how much fun they’re having while doing it. These were a blast to shoot, so I hope you enjoy them just as much!
