The Ingram’s – Spring Edition

Howdy folks! I know, I know – it has been forever since the last time I checked in. It seems as if I apologize for that every time I write one of these, but c’est la vie! Life is life & I’ve been out there living it. So much so that it’s already the pipping hot Texas summer.

I hope this post’s family photos will help to forgive me, because they’re absolutely stunning. If you’re been around a while, you’ve more than likely seen Brent & Courtney around here before. They’re both lovely humans & gloriously photogenic. Luckily, their precious little one also inherited the genetic. When you look through them, you’ll have a hard time seeing anything other than Harper Jo’s adorable face & all the sass and attitude an almost one-year-old can muster.

Before I finish up with the good stuff, I wanted to take a second to thank everyone for their continued support. It’s hard to slow down enough to show gratitude, but I’m thankful to be constantly surrounded by great clients than more often than not become amazing friends! Use the code THANKFUL10 when you book to snag 10% off your next session.

Now, what we’ve all been waiting for – my time with The Ingram’s at Landa Park <3

The Van Petten’s – Christmas Edition

Hey friends! I’m jumping on here hoping you lovelies are having a great holiday season – it has been busy busy over here. While that’s not unusual for The Modica’s, it’s been a different sort this year! Many thanks to everyone keeping me that way, too; it’s an absolute pleasure.

Today’s blog post is all about the Van Petten family. I first met these lovely humans in May of last year – Hillary & her littles stopped by to capture some Mommy & me pictures. Like most of my clients with young kids, it has been an absolute joy to watch them grow. Having them come back for Christmas pictures was a no-brainer!

As you go through these, pay special attention to the smallest member of the group. She starts out a little less enthusiastic than the rest of the family, but slowly becomes more outlandish and expressive as the photos go on. The big smile on her face in the last photo is one of the reasons I do this job. I hope you enjoy the expression of happiness just as much as I did shooting and editing these photos.

One more thing before I go – we’re slowly winding down these holiday sessions. The last weekend to shoot is in two weeks, so snag a spot while you still can! Head over to our contact page to start the process – we can’t wait to shoot with you!

Now, what you’ve all been waiting for – The Van Petten’s & their studio adventure!!!

Emma & Jozy (feat Santa)

Happy Friday, everyone! I hope the week wasn’t all that hectic and your weekend plans are something to look forward to. If you’re as dedicated to the Roadrunners as we are, you’ll be sweating out the UTEP game tomorrow right along with us!

Today on the blog, I’m highlighting a couple of faces that you might have seen before. Emma & Jozy are the daughters of friends of ours who are not only incredibly badass (black belts, y’all – & so young, too!) but adorable to boot. When we started planning our Santa photos, having them come out to shoot with us was an absolute must!

Now that it’s actually appropriate to be celebrating Christmas (without all the side eyeing of doing it so early), I’m super excited to get into the grind of these Santa/Grinch sessions. Of the ones that we’ve done already, each has been unique while remaining fun and exciting, not just for our clients, but for Josh & I, too. It’s an absolute blast to watch Josh settle into the Santa role while entertaining the people in our studio at the time.

If you’re looking for something different to do with the family for holiday photos this year, look no further! A lot of our November dates are already filled up, but there’s still a bit of room & the whole month of December to book out. These sessions are short, sweet, and guaranteed to be filled with lots of fun & laughter. Interested in booking? Head over to the contact page to get started!

Now that that’s out of the way, here’s what you all actually came for – Emma & Jozy and their time with Santa!

Courtney & Brent – A Maternity Session

Hey, friends! Two blog posts in one week is a rarity for me, so I’m really excited to be sitting here writing this. With all of the holiday madness coming up, I’m trying to stay on top of my game. Here’s hoping that plan stays solid all the way through!

Anyway, I’m checking in today to share one of my favorite maternity sessions to date! Brent & Courtney are close friends of ours that can’t wait to welcome their new addition to the world. Shooting with them throughout their session, it was insanely apparent that their little girl is so eagerly anticipated. These two together make a great couple & will rock parenting’s socks off when the time comes.

We spent a gorgeous evening out in Boerne after our first attempt was rained out. Low and behold, the sky decided to open up during this try, too. Something really cool happened, though – only a few raindrops fell, giving the perfect ambience and leaving behind a gorgeous double rainbow. As a photographer, I have never seen something like that, and when all is said and done, I probably won’t any time soon, either. As you look through the pictures, take a second to really appreciate just how beautiful the world around us really can be. Sometimes, you’re standing at the right place at the perfect moment – I’m so stoked it just so happened to be during these photos!

Before we get to the main event, I wanted to mention my holiday shooting schedule. Many of the dates are already booked and my freedom dwindles down by the day. Our Christmas minis have been a blast so far & I can’t wait to get into the heart of them, but they’re selling out fast, too! If you’re interested in family photos or some time with Santa, click over to the contact page to grab more information & book a session!

Now – here’s what you really came for; check out the beauty of Courtney & Brent’s maternity session!

Happy Birthday, Mr. Clause!

Howdy, friends! Today’s post is all about my favorite person in the whole entire world, my Joshy. If you’ve been hanging around long enough, you’ve seen his face all over the blog time and time again.

Today, however, is a very special day – my sweet husband turns 34!!! One of the best parts of being married is experiencing the way life changes from year to year. Between holidays, birthdays, and every day in between, our time together is always an adventure. I know it’s silly, digging out extra time one day of the year when every day should be a gift, but I never balk away from the little things in life that give me an extra chance to show my guy I love him!

Aside from his every day work, Josh does great things for me and the baby of a business I have nursed and watch grow for a handful of years now. He’s my equipment guy, the best model, even the pose man when my creativity is lacking. There are times when he keeps me in the game just by driving me to sessions and being there. He’s a flawless Grinch and this year, he decided to take on Santa, too! So many things my Joshy does. There’s not possibly a way to be grateful enough for all of it..

If you haven’t gotten the chance to see some of his best cosplay yet, I’ve attached a few shots of both is Grinch and Santa to the bottom of this post – he truly is spot on with each of his characters. We’re currently booking both Mean One minis & Cookies with Santa, so don’t miss your chance to see him embody the greats live and in the flesh. Shoot us a message here to get the process started!

Before I go, I just want to wish Josh the happiest of birthdays – here’s to many more, my love!

& without further ado, the many faces of Josh Modica!

An Eilan Adventure with Beale-Madison

Hey friends – I’m back (much quicker than before) with another new gallery! This one is not only at one of my favorite places but with a gorgeous new friend. The fall is my favorite time of the year, so these photos are packed with color and life.

Ms. Beale-Madison is a new addition at UTSA. The athletics department is like a big family & she immediately fit into the group. As a person who struggles with personal interactions, one of the best ways for me to connect with someone new is through my photography. What better way to introduce Beale to the beauty of San Antonio than through a photo session?

Eilan, which is a common location you’ve probably seen on the blog before, is beautiful this time of the year. It’s right before they break out the decorations for Christmas, so you can feel the holiday approaching in the air. The buildings are gorgeous & make for a different pictures there every time I do a shoot there.

Before we get to the stunning photos, let me tell you about some of the upcoming things happening around here at Boshnasty Photos!

If you’re looking to book a holiday session, do so early! My November/December schedule is already hectic – plus, it’s visually stunning right now; who wouldn’t want to get their family photos done in all this luscious green surrounding us at the moment?

On top of family sessions for the upcoming holiday season, Josh & I are bringing back our Christmas mini sessions! This year, Josh is getting back into the Grinch mask to bring life to our Texas based Whoville once again. We’ve upgraded our backdrop and can’t wait to celebrate with everyone. To bring something new to the table this year, we’ve also put together ‘cookies with Santa’ mini sessions that are going to be an absolute blast! I’ll be releasing info on both sessions very soon – if you’d like to be once of the first to receive it, leave your name & email below so I can add you to our mailing list.

Spaces will be limited, so don’t wait too long!

Now, without further ado, here are some of my favorites from my adventure with Beale-Madison!

Pat & Justin – Father & Son

Hi friends! So, I know its been a while. I clicked onto my own website the other day and kind of cringed at the date of my last post – how can I expect you guys to want to be around when I haven’t even updated you on my work in ages… absolute ages! You know how it gets, though – life is busy and some things end up taking a back seat. Fear not, however, I’ve been shooting nonstop and working with some of my very favorite people! One of the best parts of this job is getting to make friends with the people who come out to shoot with us.

Pat & Justin are gracing us with their father-son goodness today. Both of these fellas are humans that exist outside of my photography life, too. We’ve been shooting Justin since he was a tiny baby and Patrick is a good friend of ours from Josh’s job. It’s an honor to document the big moments in Pat & Kelly’s lives now that Justin is around making their time much more exciting.

As you go through them, take a look at just how similar these two are to each other. From looks to mannerisms, the Grant boys aren’t lacking in sameness. These were a blast to shoot and even more fun to share with you all!

Oh, before you start clicking through the gallery, I just wanted to let you know that we’re having a little sale on all of our full length sessions! Book before the 30th and grab 10% off. We’re also booking our Grinch photo sessions already, so jump on those while the good dates are still available! Joshy is being a bit more selective about his time in the suit! Send us a contact form to get your session booked!

I hope you guys enjoy Pat & Justin’s father-son session!

Allie Mag – A Senior Photo Adventure!

Happiest of Monday’s, friends! It seems like the busier I am, the quicker the days go – especially the weekend. With the end of basketball season coming up, it’s a little bit insane in our household. Despite that, though – I’m enjoying every single second of the adventure and am hoping you are doing the same!

Today’s blog post is all about my good friend Allie. If you’ve been around for a while, you’ve seen Allie in lots of different forms. At Wonder Chamber, rocking a Coraline costume and most recently, as a college graduate! As someone who doesn’t have a high number of friends, it is absolutely insane to get to be a part of something so big!

One of the best parts of doing senior photos is getting to know the person I’m shooting. Since I already know a lot about Allie, we spent the time talking about her experience at UTSA, instead. I’ve been here a long time, especially as a student, but it never fails to amaze me – how different every single person’s experience on campus truly is. If you’re graduating here soon, make sure you take senior photos! It’s one thing to walk the stage, but something totally different to do your victory tour around campus and capturing every single second of it.

Miss Allie, thank you for being not only beautiful but insanely rare. There is something about the person you are that is so fun to be around and so interesting to get to experience. You’re filled with good ideas and have the kindest, most caring soul. The world is not ready for the things you’re going to bring about, but I can’t wait to see what happens, anyway!

There you have it! This tour around campus was filled with beautiful sun, the best places at UTSA, and a great friend. I can’t wait to start the process all over again!

Speaking of the process – it’s almost that time of the year again! I already have a whole slue of senior photo sessions lined up for the next coming weeks & can’t wait to add you to it! One of the best bits of this photography gig is getting to spend time with people who are excitedly achieving something. Graduation photos are some of the best representation of that. With that in mind, I’m offering all of my senior sessions for $135 if you book before 3/17. My schedule for the spring/summer is quickly getting filled up, so don’t miss out on the special date that you want!

With Spring coming up, we’re also offering our bluebonnet mini sessions. These are tons of fun, filled with lots of laughter and gorgeous scenery, and pretty quick! These mini sessions can be booked for any date in March/April and will run for $85. I want to take advantage of the immense beauty that the upcoming season brings, so lets make some gorgeous springtime memories!

Last, but definitely not least, we want to thank you all! This business is nothing without the support of the people looking at our photos, booking sessions, and keeping up with our day-to-day activities. If it wasn’t for you guys, I wouldn’t get to do what I love the most for work! More than anything, we’re insanely grateful for the people that help us make this dream a reality – so thank you so very much!

Until the next time, friends! Keep on adventuring…

UTSA v UAB

Happiest of Thursday’s, everyone! It’s game day in The Modica household & that’s always a treat. After getting my week of schoolwork out of the way, I finally got to get behind the computer and play with some pictures. Here’s hoping your day was just as successful as mine ended up being!

Today’s gallery is UTSA’s home battle against UAB. In the past few years, I’ve gotten to see the fellas play against this team in the convo a bunch of times & every time – it’s a pretty epic adventure. This time around was no exception, either. This season in the convo has been pretty rowdy, which always makes watching the game from the sidelines that much more epic. The band is full of the best heckling and the student section is filled with so so so many people. It’s what college is about, really.

Despite the box score not being what we wanted it to be in the end, the fellas put their all out on the court. I think I type that every single time I talk about these guys, but it’s hard not to – it’s pretty apparent. No matter the score, these guys are always fun to watch – they always put on a show and keep the crowd in it until the very end.

As you go through these, get pumped for the first game of bonus play scheduled to start at 6PM CST! Don’t miss out on the last few match ups of the season, y’all. It’s going to come down to the finish.

There you have it! The fellas are about to hit the court, so make sure you tune in where you can. The guys come back home on Sunday at 2PM – be there!

We’re quickly heading into the warm weather and that comes with blue bonnets and gorgeous flowers! We’re already in the midst of planning our bluebonnet sessions and want to make sure everyone has access to them. So – here we are. All of our bluebonnet sessions are $95, yet packed full of beauty, fun, and lots of excitement. The location we like has so great access to light – & we’re so excited.

We’re also trying to get ahead of senior photos! If you’re a 2020 graduate and want to celebrate your accomplishment for a relatively good price – you’re in the right place! Until 3/17 we’re offering our senior sessions for $135! This is the cheapest these will be until literal days before graduates are set to walk – so don’t miss out!

Lastly, we’re so happy you guys are here. This is the most fun and enjoyment I’ve been able to get out of my adult life and it’s all because of the people that support us in this adventure. It’s amazing to get to do this day in and day out, so thank you for booking sessions, checking out our photos, and simply liking what we do.

Until the next time, friends! Keep on adventuring…

The Lahrman’s – A Family Adventure!

Happiest of Friday’s, everyone! All of the changes in the weather has my sinuses all out of whack, so I’m once again not feeling as well as I could – but it has given me lots of time to edit. Here’s hoping you guys are fairing a little better and the start of the weekend is looking promising!

Today’s blog post is all about our friends, The Lahrman’s. Their two gorgeous twin daughters have been on the blog before. We made some summer fun in front of these really stunning spray paint wall-art and had a blast in the process. This time around, we got to include the whole family on the fun. It’s quite a thing to shoot whole families after just dealing with the kids. You get to see where they get their personalities from and it’s always fun to see how families interact with one another.

We spent a gorgeous Sunday morning at The Pearl, navigating all of my most favorite spots. It was a little chilly, but the lighting for the day was the best it could have been. The whole experience was amazing – The Lahrman’s are a great family filled to the brim with personality and kindness that can’t really be replicated.

As you go through these I hope you enjoy just how gorgeous this family is together. Every single person has their own unique look, but there’s so much familiarity between them as well. Devon’s beautiful auburn hair and unique eyes give the girls such a different look – it’s absolutely stunning. I had a great time with these and hope you enjoy them just as much!

There you have it! Lahrman’s, you guys are the best. Thanks for trusting us with your beautiful family and letting us capture the essence of who you guys are together. If you’re looking for a session like this, use the contact form at the bottom to snag your spot!
