Chelsea & Christian – A Boerne Adventure

Happiest of Friday’s, my friends! It’s a great day, simply because it’s the end of the week and the weekend will be here before we know it. My niece is coming to town, so I’m a little extra excited for Saturday to get here. She’s a gorgeous human person & time with her is the best!

Today’s blog post is about Chelsea & Christian and our Cibolo Nature Center adventure. If you’ve never been to that place, you’re going to want to go after you see these gorgeous shots. There’s a creek within a big grassy area, within beautiful trees. There are so many different places to snag great shots that it’s kind of overwhelming. Regardless, we managed to pick some of the places that caught our eye first – & they turned out fabulously!

I first met Christian during my grad school program. I was at the end, taking a summer class, and he was just starting. We shared the incredible experience that is Dr. Yao’s class & made it out successfully at the end. Since then, we’ve both been in athletics, doing our own thing. Fast-forward a little bit & Christian is now working closely with my husband on the basketball team. Which means we obviously needed to be adult friends. It doesn’t hurt that his wife is fantastic & the four of us seemed to get along swimmingly on the warm Sunday afternoon we shared.

Now – Christian & Chelsea are one adorable couple. They joke, laugh, & play the entire time they interact. There were a lot of smiles being shared and this cool sort of energy just surrounds them. When you go through these, all of those qualities will be totally apparent. One of the first spots we had them sit down and Christian challenged Chelsea to a game of rock, paper, scissors – it was the cutest thing I’ve seen! It’s natural & easy, so I hope that’s felt in the photos.

Without further ado – my favorites from Chelsea & Christian’s Boshnasty Photos adventure!

There you have it! Chelsea & Christian, thanks for coming out to shoot with us. It was a great time & the result was even better. You guys are so very great!

We’re currently offering family/couple sessions for 25% off! From now until June 31st, we’re celebrating the beauty of summer and the fun families can have together over the course of the next couple of months. Get yourself on our calendar and let’s make some photo magic!

As always, thank you for coming to the site & reading about our adventures. You guys are the only reason we get to do what we do – so we appreciate you very, very much!

Until the next time, friends! Keep on adventuring…

Vivian – Class of 2019!

Happy Friday, everyone! We are looking at the beginning of the weekend & it’s a very nice feeling. For the passed couple of years, I’ve taken Friday’s off – & I spend most of those off days shooting, editing, or sleeping. Today is going to be a good combination of both. I cannot wait to spend the weekend doing the things I love with the people I love the most.

Today’s blog post is all about my good buddy Vivian. Okay – so, I’ll let you in on something… up until walking to the Convo, we hadn’t met Vivian before. However, she was in the same program as me at the same time… just a year behind. By the time I was done taking classes in class, Vivian was just starting. We ended up missing each other by a few months, but fate brought us together anyway. Well, fate and another good friend, Nancy.

Vivian is a vibrant chica with lots of spirit & the same thirst for knowledge all of the people I hold dear have. We took the same classes, had the same professors… heck, we even seemed to like the same classes the best. Our tour around campus was easy and most importantly – fun! We hit all the good spots without any interruptions. It’s weird to say this, but getting graduation pictures done after walking is probably one of the best times to do it. So – if you’re looking to do some last minute shots, you know where to find me!

Ms. Vivian, thank you for trusting us with this celebration of success! These are some of my favorites & I’m so very stoked to have gotten to do them for you. Here’s hoping we bump into each other academically, or professionally in the future!

There you have it! Vivian, we wish you all the success in the world – there is a lot more knowledge out there to seek, so never stop. I’ll be right there with you!

We’ve recently started offering a new type of senior session. For all Class of 2020 Seniors, we’re now offering two part sessions. We’ll take some senior portraits now, then come back & shoot again when caps & gowns start making their way out. That way, everyone gets to celebrate to the fullest! Contact us below to find out more about this program!

Until June 21st, our regular senior sessions will be $75! That means all high school & college grads that didn’t get the pictures they wanted before they walked can still grab a good deal! I love academics & this achievement is big, so I’m stoked to offer these sessions at the price they are!

LASTLY – our summer celebration is still going on! Grab 20% off all sessions, including our wedding/engagement packages. We’ll keep this one around for a little bit longer, so don’t miss out! It’s a gorgeous time of the year for family photos…

Thank you, as always, for coming here and reading about our business adventures! Without you guys, none of this would be possible. We appreciate you!

Until the next time, friends! Keep on adventuring…

Sam & Scott – An Engagement Session!

Hey everyone! Today is one of those Monday’s that I can’t help but be excited about. I got to get back into tutoring – which is one of my favorite things in my life. Imparting the knowledge I’ve gained in my studies to other people is an amazing feeling. I also worked on these beauties most of the afternoon – and there ain’t a thing wrong with that!

If you’ve been here for a while, you’ve seen the subjects of today’s blog post. Scott is my sweet nephew who has grown into a cool young adult. Between him and his gorgeous fiancé Sam, these two have too much cool between them. Over the years the two have been together, Josh & I have captured them together on multiple different occasions. They look good together and have a natural kind of chemistry that’s so, so, so fun to shoot!

Today’s post is all about their engagement shoot. That’s right, I said engagement shoot! These two are getting hitched and I’m lucky enough to get to capture it all on my pretty Canon camera. Sam makes Scotty so happy & it’s going to be the greatest thing to capture their happiest day. I’m impatiently waiting to see what Sam is going to look like as a bride, and the smoothness of Scott’s fashion sense will balance it out perfectly. Not to mention that the gorgeous backdrop in these pictures is their wedding venue. These are beautiful, but I can’t even wait to see what the big day snaps are going to look like!

Sam & Scott, you two are beautiful together and we’re lucky to be in your lives to see and capture it. It’s cool to grab these memories not only for you two, but for the big families you’ll both be a part of.

Enjoy these golden hour engagement photos – they’re absolutely stunning!

There you have it! Sam, I’m so excited to welcome you to the family. You & Scotty are so cute together and have the best chemistry. That’s what is needed to make the partnership that is marriage work. I’m already excited for BRIDALS! Thanks for trusting us with this.

For all Class of 2020 seniors, we’re offering two part senior sessions. We’ll take some senior portraits now, then come back & shoot again when caps & gowns start making their way out. That way, everyone gets to celebrate to the fullest! Contact us below to find out more about this program!

Kai – Doggy Wonder!

Happy Thursday, everyone! I hope the week has been treating you right and the weekend is shaping up to be a good one. Josh and I are finally home from our vacation in Missouri. It’s always awesome to go back and see friends and family that have been an important part in our life together. It’s also super nice to be home, too.

Today’s blog post is all about Ms. Kai! This puppy is gorgeously long, and incredibly athletic. She’s got long legs and the most adorable face that shows every emotion. She loves her owner, my good friend Ms. Eliza. I’ve heard many times over that dogs save people, and I think that’s totally the case here. Eliza is a bright person, but she opens up and becomes something more when she’s around her sweet Kai. I’m such a sucker for puppy love that I had to capture this stuff on camera.

We also decided to see what Kai would look like mid-treat throw. Eliza is the best helper and did all the tossing, so all the well placed treats are courtesy of her. I think anyone would look pretty goofy with food coming towards their face, but I’m pretty certain Kai makes it look pretty cool. I’d like to continue to see what this collection looks like, so if you’ve got a puppy and you’d like to take part of this – let me know!

Go through these and enjoy the absolute adorable thing that is Kai. There are times when she looks like the cutest thing, yet there are times she looks like a raptor stalking through the grass, too. I had a great time going through these and hope you guys enjoy them just as much!

Without further ado –  Kai the Doggy Wonder!

There you have it! Kai & Eliza, thanks for being awesome and making these pictures look awesome. I’m always glad to shoot with you guys and can’t wait to have you in front of my camera again soon!

We’re currently gearing up for summer and are offering 20% off on all of our sessions! I don’t have too many spots open during June & July, so book with us now!

We’re also offering senior photo session mini sessions on Monday & Tuesday (May 13 & 14) between 12-5. Drop us a message and reserve a time to get great photos done quickly and for a reasonable price! (30 minute sessions, $75.00, 10-20 photos).

As always, thank you for your time and support! I love what we’re doing and can’t wait to do more of it – and that’s all because of you guys.

Until the next time, friends! Keep on adventuring…

Senior Sunday – Shane & Zeus

Happy Sunday, everyone! It has been a gorgeous weekend so far, and it looks as if the day is promising to be just the same. Being in Texas during this time of the year, you never know what you’re going to get – but it’s nice when you’re getting the really nice side of the weather around here! And, as a photographer, the amazing weather is an excellent perk to the photoshoots I’ve gotten to take part in.

On the blog today is Shane and his pal Zeus. Josh and Shane have known each other for a while, and when I started to date Josh, I got to be a part of his friendship with Shane. Shane is a veteran and Zeus is his service animal. They’re pals, and it’s awesome to see the two of them around campus. Zeus, when you’re lucky enough to get to pet/interact with him, is super sweet and incredibly protective of Shane. So, it made the most sense to incorporate him into these pictures, too!

I’ve been enjoying doing these senior sessions over the passed few weeks and can’t wait for all the others I have planned! These sessions are filled with people celebrating their accomplishment, and the way people personalize them make shooting so much fun. As a college graduate who had my own unique experience, it’s cool to know that so many others went to the same place, but enjoyed it in their own way.

It also doesn’t hurt that UTSA has a beautiful campus! We’re still got a few sessions open, if you want to explore it with us.

Enjoy our senior pal below! He’s full of spunk and a personality that’s worth knowing!

There you have it! Shane, thanks for celebrating your awesome accomplishment with Josh & I. We can’t wait to see what you bring to the world and end up doing with your many experiences!

I’m so stoked to celebrate with you guys that we’re discounting our sessions by 35%! If you book with us before the end of April, we’ll give you an extra 5% off. I’m not going to be taking on too many more sessions, so book while you still can!

I also need a bit of help! I’m thinking about doing some Mommy & Me sessions in celebration of Mother’s Day. Would anyone be interested in a session like that? They’d be mini sessions, so a much cheaper option! I’ll leave a contact form below to make giving feedback and book more easy!

Until the next time, friends! Keep on adventuring…

Mireya Reyes takes on Eilan

Happy Thursday, everyone! It’s the last work day of the week for me and I’m more than ready for the weekend. I balance a couple different jobs, so my weekends are always filled with photography clients and gorgeous backdrops. I never thought I’d like spreading my job wealth, but I appreciate being able to do work in all sorts of different outlets, in all sorts of different ways.

The blog post today is centered around someone I’ve just recently met. In fact, when she walked up to meet me in front of Ruth’s Chris, that was the very first time we’d ever seen the other. As someone who works with a big range of people, I know it’s always interesting to work with people I know and people I don’t know. From the second we first started talking, I knew this session was going to be awesome.

IMG_0452 copy.jpg

Mireya is a pom dancer for UTSA and has aspirations of becoming a Dallas Cowboy’s cheerleader. As you go through these pictures, you’ll see she definitely has the looks and determination to do whatever she wants – white boots included! As we moved around the complex, she had ideas for poses that I hadn’t thought of, good input in how she felt about the pictures, and a great sense of humor throughout. It’s like we’d known each other for a long while, not just a few minutes.

Not only is the person in these pictures gorgeous, but the backdrop is amazing, too. Eilan is a hotel/spa/apartment complex that houses a lot of really nice store fronts and restaurants. There are lots of colors and several unique building structures throughout the place, and it’s not even that big! If you ever get the chance to head over there and check it out, I would totally recommend. I’m also not opposed to doing more pictures over there, either! This place would be perfect for a couple’s shoot, or Fiesta pictures!

Check out some of my favorites below!

There you have it! Many thanks to Mireya for being a great model and braving the multiple times we had to reschedule. These turned out amazing and I hope you enjoyed our time together just as much!

We’re currently discounting our Senior/Graduation sessions by 35%. If you book and schedule your shoot before May, we’ll give you an extra $5 off! My schedule is getting a little crazy, so don’t wait around to reserve a spot and book now. There’s a contact form at the bottom of this post to make that whole process easier.

We’re offering Fiesta photo sessions April 19th &20th (10-3PM) ,23rd & 25th (5:30-8PM) & 26th (10-3PM). Since there’s not much time between then and now, I’m only opening a few spots to ensure I have enough time to prepare! I’m really excited for these – I think it’ll be really cool to step out of the box and embrace the place around me a little more intimately.

So! If you’re looking to get some Fiesta celebration photos done, look no further! Let’s get colorful and bring the excitement of Fiesta into a singular image. Simply fill out the contact form below, include the date and time you’d like to fill, and I’ll get you on the calendar. Once all eight of the spots are filled, we’ll be booked up and ready to celebrate Fiesta!

Lastly, we’re discounting all other sessions by 15%! I’m stoked to see all the different things that flash before my camera, and can’t wait to see what crosses next.

As always, we want to take a second to thank everyone for tagging along and letting us continue to do what we’re doing. It’s your support that keeps us in the game, and we love and appreciate you all for it!

Until the next time, friends! Keep on adventuring…

Miss Shelby – Flower Edition!

Happy Wednesday, everyone! I’m ready to get over the hump of this week and get one step closer to the weekend. Easter for my family is filled with good food, great movies, and usually some sort of photography adventure. To be real, though – most days are an excuse for photography adventures.

Today’s blog post centers around one of my good friends, Miss Shelby. Shelby is a tutor in my office and has been on the blog before. As a photographer, one way I can share what I do with friends is get them in front of the lens. I’m not the best when it comes to verbal communication, so pictures and directions while taking them are how I can express myself the most efficiently. Shelby ended up coming with me to The Flower Vault because of a cancelled session and her great heart.

The Flower Vault is amazing, y’all! If you’re looking for a good spot to take some pictures without having to worry about the lighting, or the background, this is the place for you. All the rooms are well lit, and can be used in so many different ways. As you go through these pictures, you’ll see what I mean. Not only is Shelby nicer than most people, she’s also gorgeous and completely photogenic.

Going through each of the rooms with my pal was a blast, and you can see the fun we had while taking these pictures within them. I’m a firm believer that a picture says a thousand words. These shout “I enjoy life” and that’s some of the best artistry you can capture.

Enjoy our adventure below!

There you have it! Shelby, it’s always a blast hanging out with you. I’m lucky you don’t mind being my model and playing dress up. It’ll forever be appreciated!

I also need some help! I love all the Fiesta decor and would love to put together some shoot material. Would anyone want to do some Fiesta photo sessions? I’ll put together a date if there’s enough interest. Comment what you think in the form below!

West’s 1st Easter!

Happy Monday, everyone! I hope the weekend was filled with lots of fun, great weather, and awesome company. I love the weekend. It’s one of the only time I get my Joshy 100% to myself. Sometimes we throw in photo shoots and practice, but for the most part, Saturday & Sunday are the days I get all the attention I want (at least during the months of April-September.)

To start off my weekend, I spent a little bit of time with half of The Henson’s. Quinton has a big kid job, so I got to spend some quality time with West and his gorgeous wife to be, Ashleigh. I approached her about doing Easter pictures and knew it was a great idea the second we put West in the basket. Let me ask you this – what is seriously more cute than a baby in a basket?

We spent the rest of the session trying to answer that question. I’ll tell you this – a baby on his belly, a baby with a fist in his mouth, and a baby getting fussy are all pretty cute, too! Between Ash’s bottle and my terribly executed games of “Peek-a-boo”, we managed to get some really great shots of an extremely adorable little boy.

As you look through these pictures, check out not only the cute little props around this guy, but his striking blue eyes and the obvious enjoyment of the things around him. It’s so cool to watch the world through a baby’s eyes. West is enjoying everything for the first time, and it’s a joy to watch!

There you have it! Ash & Q, thanks for letting Josh and I be a part of this little guy’s life. We’re stoked to see how big and tall he’ll be the next time we see him!

Since my bluebonnets got rained out on Saturday, I’m offering a few hours this Friday, April 19th for those who want Easter/Spring/Bluebonnet pictures done before the heat starts to make Texas look a little less green and “Spring”-like. There’s a contact form at the bottom of this page to make for easy booking.

We’re also currently offering 30% off our senior/graduation sessions. I’d love to get a few people in before May when campus is crowded with people doing the exact same thing. Book with us now and schedule a date before the end of May and we’ll give you an extra 5% off your total session price!

We’d love to be your photographer for any sort of situation, so don’t hesitate to reserve a spot and book with us now! We’ve got a summer packed full of great things and we can’t wait to add you guys to it!

Until the next time, friends! Keep on adventuring…

UTSA v UAB

Happy Sunday, everyone! I meant to get this blog out yesterday, but I’ve been flattened by the flu for the passed few days. I’m still not 100%, but things are good enough to get behind the computer and pump out some of my favorite pictures. I’ve been trying to savor these last few galleries, because we’re quickly coming to the end of the season – where basketball action photography will dwindle down again. The best thing is, sports go all year round, so you’ll see more UTSA goodness here soon!

Last week, UTSA took on the UAB in their second “bonus” play game. Not only was this game important because of that, but it also happened to be senior night. For the first time, I watched guys I watched play as Freshman walk across the court. I don’t have the same relationship with the guys that Josh does, but I’ve been photographing and getting to know these dudes for a hot minute – so I got a little chocked up. Luckily, I had my camera to hid behind most of the time.

Mitar, Toby, Gio, and Nick – y’all are the bomb and it has been an honor taking your pictures and getting to know you guys!

Anyway – this game was a great one! The best way to honor the seniors was to play hard and go down fighting, which is exactly what we did. The entire game was a battle, but the guys were in it to win it – and that totally showed. Standing on the sidelines watching is one of the coolest things, and it’s even better when we’re fighting hard and the game is as intense as this one.

In the end, the guys pulled it out. They’ve been coming together all season to perform to the best of their ability – so here’s hoping they continue that into next week to capitalize on the conference tournament seat they’re currently sitting in.

To hold you over until next week’s game play, check out the action against UAB below!
