UTSA Soccer – Kick Out Cancer Game!

Happiest of Thursday’s, everyone! In less than a few hours, Josh and I will be heading to Anaheim, California to go to DISNEYLAND! I haven’t been there since I was ten years old, so to say I’m excited for this trip is an absolute understatement. Anticipation has been welling up for the passed few days and I’m totally here for it.

Today’s blog post is all about UTSA Women’s Soccer and their battle against North Texas. This particular game was their Kick Out Cancer game for Breast Cancer Awareness month, so they’re wearing these really cool metallic pink jerseys. As I went through and edited these, I got a really cool effect from them, so I just went with it. Not only were the jerseys cool, but the ladies were ready to play and play hard.

Despite not getting the win, the team fought a great battle. For most of the game, the ball was in the attacking half. I don’t know how many runs I managed to catch that look like they’re going to go in. Regardless, the team dynamic throughout the game was spectacular and the ball movement what any coach is looking for.

As you go through these, enjoy the bright pink jerseys and all of the intensity that resides on each person’s face. These ladies are so determined to work hard, it’s a joy to get to capture!

There you have it! UTSA Women’s Soccer is only here one more weekend, so don’t miss your chance to see them battle. They’re at Park West Thursday and Sunday!

We’re still booking our fall sessions, y’all. They have been so beautiful this far and it’s only going to get better as the weather actually starts to change around here. If you’re looking to get some seasonal family portraits done, or just want to tumble around in the gorgeous fall foliage, let’s have an adventure! Our fall sessions are discounted to a really great price right now and will stay that way until 11/1 – so definitely take advantage of that before it’s too late!

Our Christmas sessions are coming up, too! We’re currently booking all of these sessions and want to maximize on all the beauty that is coming to San Antonio before it gets too cold. We’re putting together two different types of sessions – Grinch minis and Christmas Tree Farm sessions. You can book either of these sessions throughout the rest of the year. They’ll be perfect for Christmas cards and all that fun stuff. My gorgeous Joshy is going to be The Grinch – & it’s going to be an absolute blast!

You can use the contact form at the bottom of this post to book your session! I’m quickly starting to fill up my schedule because basketball season is starting and I’ll be insanely busy with that. So, if you’d like to book any type of session, do it soon!

Lastly, we want to say thank you! You guys are the reason I get to go out and shoot every week. It has been a blast developing this business and it wouldn’t be where it is without those who book with us, check out our pictures, and read my rambles once or twice a week. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Until the next time, friends! Keep on adventuring…

UTSA Women’s Soccer v USF

Happy Friday, everyone! We’re finally right at the cusp of the weekend and it’s going to be a great one here at the Modica household. UTSA is back in the dome taking on Army! How exciting is that? As a military brat, it’s going to be so excellent to see the structure and function of something I’ve always known. Hopefully we’ll see you there!

Today’s blog post is all about our Women’s Soccer team. These ladies are very fun to watch and even more fun to shoot. There’s a tenacity that you can’t quite understand unless you’re standing right there watching – and in this case, I get to shoot and document it, too. Getting to be right in the action is my absolute favorite and I’m so stoked there’s still a bunch of season left to be played.

The game shots you’re about to see are very intense. Their match against USF was one that had all these ladies moving from one side of the field to the other without much time in between. The day was so hot and the sun was so bright – I still have a tan line on my arm from it! As the game unfolded, it was cool to see how each of these ladies stepped up and put their game faces on.

As you look through them, I hope you enjoy the tenacity and excitement these chicks have for the game – despite the heat. Hopefully you’re convinced enough to join us this evening at Park West to see them take on Oral Roberts!

There you have it! Ladies, I’m always impressed by your game play. Thanks for being so intense and still looking good in these photos. If you’re interested, Park West is hosting a match this evening. Head out and support our Runners!

If you’ve been around, you know that we’re booking our fall mini sessions. From now until 11/1, we’re scheduling these gorgeous little sessions. At $140, these sessions are 30 minutes long and you’ll all the best photos in a digital gallery. These are so quick and allow for families with little ones or fur babies to get in and out without an issue or impatience. Personally, these are my absolute favorite sessions and I can’t wait for San Antonio to actually look like it’s fall.

Tomorrow, I’ll be posting what our set up looks like for these mini sessions. I’m excited for everyone to see how we embrace fall here at Boshnasty Photos. Of course, you’re welcome to have your own location in mind when you book – we’re flexible and want to give you guys what you want from your session.

On that note, I am quickly running out of weekdays/weekends that are free for sessions. If you’d like to secure a spot before the new year, please reach out soon! I can’t wait to work with all you lovely people and would hate to have to turn people away. You can book a session in December now, just to make sure you get a spot on our schedule! To sweeten the deal, we’re offering 10% off our fall minis and Christmas card sessions. Use the contact form below to grab a spot before I close booking for the year!

Lastly, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone keeping up with us. This is my dream and it’s slowly coming to life because of all the great people that read the blog, book a session, or simply click on our photos on social media. This couldn’t be done without you guys, and I’m so pleased to have such amazing people in my life! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Until the next time, friends! Keep on adventuring…

UTSA Women’s Soccer v Texas State

Happy Friday, everyone! This weekend is going to be a great one for a couple of amazing reasons; the first being that my birthday is on Monday and we’re celebrating the whole weekend away! Secondly, I get to immerse myself in all things UTSA Athletics and there’s never anything wrong with that.

Today’s blog post is all about UTSA Women’s Soccer. In my job, I get to interact with these ladies quite often, and they’re all great humans. It’s one thing to know them off the field, but it’s a whole other thing to see them on the field. There’s a tenacity to each of them that you just can’t mimic in an academic setting. It’s most excellent to get to see both sides of an athlete.

When I first stood on the sidelines of this game, it took me a second to actually start shooting. My soccer career was cut short before its time, but I’ve never lost my love for the sport. So, I stood and watched, allowing myself to be completely immersed in the game. I watched the defense, my most favorite part of a soccer team, move and shift – and it was like playing all over again. Never thought catching a game through the camera could be ALMOST as good as being on the field.

As you go through these, pay special attention to how tough and intense these chicks are. There’s something about watching someone do something they’re so passionate about – the vision makes for some excellent photos!

There you have it! If you’re looking for something to do with your weekend, head out to Park West and catch these ladies on their home turf at 7. They’re at the beginning of their season and it’s only going to get better!

Since it’s my birthday weekend, I’m putting our sessions on sale to celebrate! Photography is my baby and getting to shoot as often as I do is a gift in and of itself. I’m very excited for the fall and what’s coming, so why not celebrate with you guys, too? Book by my birthday, 9/9, and grab 15% off all of our sessions!

We’ve also started booking our fall sessions! This means you can book a family/couple session for mini session prices ($140) until 11/11. Each session is 30 minutes long with however many photos I end up getting throughout the session. These are so easy for families with little children – you can even bring your pup! Take advantage of this great price to get your holiday card photos done early! I’ll have an example of our setup on the blog within the next week or so, just so you know what we’re working with!

As always, thank you so very much for keeping up with us. Without you guys, we wouldn’t be able to do the stuff that we love!

Until the next time, friends! Keep on adventuring…
